Hopefully this blog will capture and share some of the moments we have as a family. The craziness of raising three of God's children and trying to keep it all together!

The Results....
Usually I do all my cooking on a Saturday, but our schedule simply didn't permit for me to do that this time. So I spread it out over a week. I like the one day much better, but this did work. This was my biggest cooking day so far and I am so happy with the results! Here is a list of the meals I made....
6x Hamburger Stew
8x Lancaster Beans(this is a burger/bacon/beans mixture)
5x Beef Chimichangas
3x Meat Loaf
6x Mexican Meat Filling(I use for taco's and taco salad)
12x Pizza Burgers(one of our kids favorites)
4x Sloppy Joes
5x Taco-Filled Pasta Shells (a favorite)
3x Tater Tot casserole
5x Breakfast Quiche
4x Creamy Corn Bread
5x Oven French Toast sticks
7x Cheese-Filled Shells
3x Sweet n Sour Kielbasa
4x BBQ Baked Chicken
4x Chicken in a Pot (this is chicken breast and cream cheese YUM)
6x Country Chicken Pot Pie
4x Crescent Chicken Squares
8x Chicken in Marinade
8x Tangy Chicken Strips
4x Turkey Chili
Plus I grilled up some BBQ chicken for our chicken pizzas, have 6lbs of burger frozen, and several other little items. Several of the meals will be two meals for us, but I wanted a few bigger ones in case we had company!
So with all that I ended up with 114 meals plus! By my calculations that will last us six months plus let us bless a few people too! Each meal ended up at $3.99!!! I strive to find deals on the ingredients to make sure I stay below $4 a meal! I know I couldn't make these meals weekly for this price. Plus the convenience of having these meals frozen and ready to go is such a stress reliever to our family!
While the week of cooking isn't the most fun, I do love the finished product! All the freezers are full and we are ready for the next few busy months! How do you handle meal time preparation at your house?
