My first 10k! Completed!

So today I ran my first 10k!  This is something I signed up for in January and made the decision to run.  Since signing up life hasn't exactly worked out in a manner that was condusive to training.  I was able to run a small amount and then three weeks ago I was able to start training.  Originally when I signed up I wanted to run this in under an hour, but realized that without the proper training this wasn't going to happen.  After a while I began to wonder if I would even be able to complete the race.  Well I did!!  It wasn't real fast, but I did it!

It was raining through most of the race.  It was misting through most of it and then started to rain harder at the end.  I think it ended up as a blessing as it helped to keep me cooler which I think helped a little with they eye sight.  From about 1/2 mile in until I finished I couldn't see very good, but luckily their was plenty of runners and I was always with other runners!

My final time was 1:10:12!

3,768 people finished the 10k today

2,228 were women

449 were aged 30-34

I finished 3239 overall

I finished 1817 out of the women

I finished 370 in my age group
