We live in Zeeland which neighbors Holland which is widely known for Tulip Festival. We also live really close to a little town called Borculo. Borculo is the type of little town that is big enough to have one intersection, an ice cream shop, a barber shop, a church, a school, a mini mart, and just a few businesses. Now for years they have held the Dandelion Festival. This festival is a spoof off of Tulip Town. They have a great parade! I love that they shut down the only road through town simply so tractors, cars, fire trucks, and a few floats can make it town the street! The kids love it because they throw candy!!!!! They love seeing all the parade offers and you don't have to fight the crowds of tulip time! Last year Carson rode in the parade and I believe next year Lillian will get a turn!
So here are a few pictures of the great time we had at Dandelion Festival. The church gives out free hot dogs and punch for lunch after the parade. They also fill their parking lot with pony rides, games for the kids, ice cream, and a strong man show! We had a lot of fun!
Waiting for the parade to start!
Group shot, love Lillian's face!
