One of the benefits to living in West Michigan is the ability to spend many summer days at the beach!  The kids love it.  I love watching them play and work together to build things.  We have been lucky enough to find an awesome beach away from the business of the state park and some of the other county parks.  My kids are morning kids so we usually get there early and often have the beach to ourselves for several hours.  Usually about 2 or 3pm it starts to get busy and we are usually headed out so it works perfectly! 

Each of them has a different comfort level and enjoys the beach for different reasons.  I love that one place can offer so many different activities for them.  Corban hardly comes out of the water.  He absolutely loves practicing his swimming.  He spends hours with his buddy goofing around in the water.  So fun!  Carson especially loves playing in the sand and waves.  From the pictures below you won't get a glimpse of this because it was a very calm day.  He went one night with a friend and the waves were pretty big and he loved sitting on the beach letting the waves crash over his head.  For Carson this is HUGE!  Lillian loves the water, but isn't comfortable with it yet.  So she plays in the sand and heads into the water with a death grip on someone!  Although this day she was quite brave and led Carson in.  I think they each thought the other was leading!
