An Easter Grace Garden

I saw this awesome idea for an Easter Grace Garden on pintrest and decided it was a really great way to help the kids talk through Easter!  They had so much fun coming up with what to include and putting it together.  Carson fell asleep prior to putting it together, but the other two had fun assembling.  Our tomb is a little hard to see in the pictures, but we just used a pot on its side.  Today we will be looking for a rock to put in front of the tomb.  The boys found a lego man to play the role of Jesus.  They are going to wrap him in toilet paper and place him in the tomb on Friday.
This was a really fun garden to do together.  The discussions that have come out of this have been great.  It has sat on our table for over a week now and the kids continue to discuss Easter when they see this!  This is exactly what I wanted this to accomplish.  Plus we will have a great garden to watch grow and keep the sacrifice of Jesus right in front of us!

I forgot to take pictures until we were almost done.  Oops
the Cross is just a couple of sticks and fishing line.

  2. What a great idea. I wondered how you found such nice looking rocks and then I saw the bag. Pintrest sure is a great way to find new ideas and share your own with other people. I hope to spend more time visiting that site when things slow down for me. Happy Easter!
